I was sorry to learn of Paddy’s death.
Paddy’s virtues were many but above all he was an extremely good man who devoted much of his life to public service.
A man who never forgot his roots yet rose to high office as a highly effective Government minister. My late father Garret had huge time for Paddy and rightly so. My condolences to Jacqueline, Jackie,John, Padraig, Helen, and to Paddy’s grandchildren and his extended family. May he rest in peace.

Jacqueline was my first teacher in Aughleam N.S. and her late Mum, Mrs. Maguire was my 3rd & 4th class teacher.
Years later I had the privilege of teaching Paddy & Jacqueline’s grandson, Sam. A very small world indeed !
