To all the Duane family, my sincere condolences.It was a pleasure to have worked with Pat for 25 years and his gentle , caring and witty ways will never be forgotton.

Our deepest sympathies to the Duane family on the passing of Pat. I worked with Pat for 20 years in the West Galway Psychiatric Service, also sharing accommodation with him in the early years. Later on in retirement Pat and a few more of us started meeting on a regular basis. He was always professional and loyal, dedicated and unassuming, easy and relaxed company, he could chat knowledgeably about anything under the sun, enhancing the lives of those he met. He will be forever missed. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

To the Family of Pat.
My sincere sympathy to all of you. I remember Pat so well as he was always at the nurses station in the unit as it was called back then. The most respective and considered person you could encounter. He helped me so many times, day or night with his kindness and perfectly timed words; he helped me to overcome so many difficulties and challenges with my health at the time. He had a hidden smile and never spoke a harsh word to anyone, his eyes were so sparkly. He was always so calm, level headed and reassuring to everyone and did all he could to help with peoples recovery. I can see him now dressed in his pinstriped suit with his perfectly ironed shirt and tie, with a large knot always, quietly observing and making sure all was well when he was on duty. A beautiful presence about him as he slowly walked about the wards, tall and straight taking care and understanding where you were coming from and making things better. I will always remember Pat Duane and keep him in my prayers. Thank you Pat for all your kindness. May your gentle soul rest in Peace and may God give you family comfort at this sad time. Debbie
