Really Sorry to hear that Paddy passed away. Paddy never forgot his roots in Thurles and was a fantastic supporter of so many voluntary groups in our county. I was delighted to have many positive interactions with Paddy over the years. May he rest in peace.

My sympathies to all the Purcell family on the death of Paddy. He was a true gentleman with all that that word implies.
Always proud of County Tipperary and its history he travelled only last month with two friends to Ballingarry in South Tipperary to view the scene of the 1848 Rising during the Great Famine - now a national heritage site. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the event and very supportive of local endeavours to improve the visitor experience at the site. Those who met him that day lament his passing. Heartbreaking news to hear of the great man's passing. For myself, and the rest of the team at Subsea Micropiles, we are eternally grateful that Paddy made a bet on the future with us and for his steadfast support along our journey. I am so very deeply saddened by the sudden passing of your Dad, but I am glad it was peaceful. Thank you for sharing your Dad and Mum with us, our childhood in Shannon was made extra special whenever they were around. My fondest memory of your Dad was on Halloween as he would always reply TRICK to “trick or treat” with a big friendly smile on his face …. And everyone got a big reward no matter the trick.

I am also grateful that I got to share Australia with your Dad, Mum and my parents, seeing your other home country.

May he rest in peace, together again with your beautiful mum.
