My sincere sympathy to the Reidy and Clune families on the death of Paddy, he was a man of great wit and vigour. I always enjoyed his repartee at Byrne's Cove. I remember him from the now far off days in Cornmarket Row where my Dad had his hardware store beside the Reidy coalyard, now the Lyric FM studios....the beautiful music will remind me of him. He was often at daily mass with Ann in St Senan's Kilrush for many years. May the Lord now welcome him to his eternal reward. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dhílis.

We offer our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the Reidy & Clune families. We know that your loss is enormous. Paddy loved all of you, and, in turn, was enormously loved by all of you. It is only natural, that you would grieve deeply on Paddy's death. Your grief is a reflection of all that love between you.

Paddy & Ann were wonderful neighbours and friends here on Dunlickey Road in Kilkee.

Be assured, Paddy will be long remembered, cherished and loved in our memories, especially on July & August sunny days, at The Third Pollock Hole and Byrne's Cove, when his stories and wit, always delivered with Paddy's "Trade-Mark" good humour, will be retold and fondly remembered.

When the winter months were no more, and we would all meet for another Kilkee Season, Paddy would greet Sinéad with .... "Hello Siobhán" .... to which she would reply .... "Hello Tom" ..... And then, Paddy's big laugh, and he would say ... "How did they call a lovely girl like you, a Fianna Fáil name like Sinéad?"

Truly, a wonderful, kind and dear friend, who will be long missed.

May Paddy now be at peace with his beloved wife Ann and all his loved ones gone before him.

He was a fountain of knowledge on the development of Limerick city from 1921 onwards and very proud of the part his family played in the city’s history.
