Paddy (The Polish) Daly

I have very fond memories of Paddy growing up. Only ever knew him as Paddy Polish. Paddy and his various modes of transport. I am sure he is back in the company of his beautiful May. Rest in peace Paddy Polish. Thanks for the memories.

We were very saddened to hear of the death of the lovely Paddy Polish. Im a daughter of Red Paddy and have very fond memories. May he RIP.

Dear Fiona and Brona, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad was a regular visitor to my home as a child and a dear friend to my dad, the infamous Red Paddy! I have great memories of his visits to Rockford over the years. He had such a sense of who he was, a real character, there were lots of laughs over countless cups of tea when he’d arrive in. Toward the end of my dad’s life your father was a huge support to our family, dropping in soda bread and biscuits and keeping our spirits high. I will always remember him as we followed my dad’s coffin from Dun Laoghaire church, your dad took front and centre of the funeral procession on his scooter, despite the sadness of the day that gave us all such a laugh. My dad would have loved that too…. May he rest in peace x

Absolute gent.. fond memories of him dropping into my mam and dad for visits 40plus years dropping into our house in rockford . Very sorry to hear of his passing .

So very sorry to hear of Paddy's death. He was a wonderful man and I loved to meet him for a chat. During my brothers final illness he was there with his support and his gorgeous biscuits. I will miss seeing him waving as he passed on his bike.

I have fond memories of paddy polish, teaching us to cook an xmas cake. And often popping by when in howth to chat about life, God and everything in between. Rest in peace paddy. Thanks for all the chats. Even at the german xmas fair. Sharp as ever ! Godspeed....🌟

Paddy was a man with great humanity and who was curious, humble, honest, welcoming, great fun and full of compassion. The last time I saw him we talked about love, death and grief. I shared with him the last words of my own father left for us when he died. Paddy asked me to email them to him afterward and when I did he replied and said “ My hope is to be fully alive the day I die.”

Paddy Daly was very much fully alive.
Deepest condolences to his family and to all those who loved him. He will be missed by so many. Go well on your next adventure Paddy. Wherever you are they are lucky to have you.

Remembering Paddy (the Polish) with great fondness. He was a great character. Just looking at his picture makes me smile. He was often in our house as he was a great friend of Vincent. I remember the laughs well. May Paddy rest in eternal peace with Mai and all his friends.

He was a great friend to My Da and Ma and I always knew when he came to visit as the moped would be parked up outside, and as for that great big infectious laugh of his ! Will miss hearing that and his stories and just his amazing big personality! My heart knows your pain and im sending you all of my love ❤ hold on to the pure joy he felt in being reunited with your Mam Mai again, what a reunion! And i know my Da was somewhere there, waiting in the background to greet his old pal.
