Our deepest sympathy to the Williams family. It was our privilege to have come to know Paddy as a friend when we first came to live in Lisdoonvarna. We have lovely memories of his congenial company, his humour and his singing.

Saddened to hear of Paddy’s passing. He was my instructor in Anco Galway back in the 80s. He gave me a great start in my apprenticeship with his knowledge and patience. Always very kind and helpful. May he rest in peace.

I've just seen the family acknowledgement in this week's Galway Advertiser and am saddened by the news of Paddy's death. I can hear his fine singing voice as I write this and I can clearly see his warm, kind eyes reflecting perfectly his serene and gentle spirit.

I was so very sorry to hear of Paddy's recent passing. Sincere condolences to all of Paddy's family and friends. He was a great friend to my father down through the years and I remember fondly his many visits to my parents in Riverside. I also heard many times about his great singing and storytelling - I'm only sorry I didn't get to hear them first hand myself!

Very shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Paddy. He was such a gentle character. Many great nights at the Riabhóg singers club in Galway and Paddy had some wonderful songs. I always remember his rendition of "The Rangy ribs I bought from Mickey Do".

Shared a house with Paddy in the 70s, also with his brother Tom. Paddy was a great singer and was great to be with. We enjoyed great trad sessions in those times in Galway.Paddy was also very well read and intelligent. He is sorely missed. Goodbye Paddy and God bless.

My sincere condolences to the Williams family on the passing of Paddy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I first met Paddy many years ago at Fas, where we instantly connected over our shared passion for Formula 1—his knowledge was truly remarkable. In later years, we often crossed paths in Ballyvaughan at the Galway Motor Club Hillclimb, where we enjoyed great conversations and plenty of laughs about cars. Great memories. Rest in peace, Paddy.

So sorry to hear about Paddy passing away.
On holidays in Clare I always looked forward to meeting up with Paddy. He was always good company. He was very knowledgeable about cars especially Formula 1.
My fond memories go back to 1953, when life then was so different to life in London.

He was a wonderful work colleague to have, a great Instructor, such a kind, caring and knowledgeable person with a great sense of humour. He loved to chat, was a great story teller and traditional singer and have fond memories of being entertained by him on our nights out in Galway. Above all else Paddy was a true gentleman with such a warm and welcoming smile .He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
