Padraic Shallow

I'm so very sad to hear of Padraic's passing. I had a real soft spot for him when he taught Business. Other teachers had posters relevant to their subjects, Padraic had a photo of Seve Balasteros! He knew his stuff, no doubt, and was such an able teacher to anyone with half an ounce of willingness to learn. He was so gentle, had a great wit about him, and was a calming presence in general, though he certainly had a competitive streak if he needed it. I'm so very sorry for his loss and condolences to all his family, his friends, his colleagues. Gone far too soon. The world is poorer for his loss.

So sorry to hear that Mr Shallow has passed away, he taught me Bus Org many years ago in Claremorris. He was a lovel, kind and patient teacher and no one ever complained about having to go to his class. I always remember the craic we had in his class in our last days as leaving certs. R.I.P

I worked as a colleague of Padraic in Mount St Michael for a number of years. He was a gentle, caring, and valued staff member.

I worked as a colleague of Padraic's. In Mount St Michael for many years. He was a valued friend and loyal colleague. His gentle and sincere qualities endeared him to the school community.
I regret that I was not able to attend Paraic's funeral.

He was a wonderful person to work with throughout our teaching career, whose kind and gentle nature shone through in everything he did. Padraic was our cherished friend and a supportive loyal colleague of ours in Mount St.Michael.
We are heartbroken to hear of his death. He was gifted academically and athletically. A winner of two All Ireland medals one for golf as a student in Summerhill Sligo and the other as a Roscommon Minor footballer when they won the All Ireland Football Championship. He will be missed by us all.
