Sincere sympathy on the death of Padraig. I intend to remember him as Mass this evening please God.
Deepest sympathy on the passing of Padraig. His name, together with a few other teachers I had in secondary school, comes up in my conversations from time to time. (In fact, I was telling someone about him a few weeks back.) I tend to give credit to that school, and those people, a lot because I feel so grateful for the education I received there and the times I had there. Padraig set the tone for that place. No one else. Him. And he really was everything you would want in a leader. Someone to admire and respect. Someone to trust and like. Dealing with him was always a pleasure. McGinn was fair. And we all knew it. He had brilliant ideas and told some very funny stories. His light shone very bright indeed, and we were all lucky to be his responsibility for a few years. Just enough time for his influence to last a lifetime. I hope. Good night Mr. McGinn, and thanks a lot.

Just heard of the passing of Padraig. Sincere condolences to all his family.
Padraig was an inspirational performer for many years at the Bard of Armagh Festival of Humorous Verse. He had a commanding stage presence, a remarkable strong and husky voice, which he projected to all corners of the hall. He had a vast store of self penned poems which always ignited the audience. We were delighted to have had the presence of Padraig and Angela at many sessions in Tossey's cottage Derrynoose. He at once was embedded in the spiritual energy of the place and left a lasting impression on everyone there. A singer of high quality was Padraig too. We will never see his likes again. May he rest in peace.

A kind and gentle man, condolences to the McGinn family at this very difficult time
So sorry we missed the Mass in person, but grateful to follow the service online. Brilliant eulogy, very fitting and not an easy task.
I called a couple of years back and spent many easy hours hours regaled by Uncle Pádraig's stories of his and his siblings youth. Angela, who hadn't been well a few years prior, was popping out for her messages, she returned a few hours later, to find us both as she left us. When I returned home I told everyone who would listen about how inspirational they were, living and thriving, largely independently well into their 80s.
It looked like despite all odds he might make it through this bout of illness but not to be. Hopefully we can get together in the near future to remember them in person.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
deepest sympayhy to the Mcginn on the death Padraig may he rest in peace
My sincerest condolences to all the family and friends of Padraig. Although I only met him a few times in recent years, I was very impressed by him as a person and his many interests and achievements. I've enjoyed hearing the stories from Eileen, his niece, and her mother, his sister Maura, and reading some of his Sunday Miscellany stories and look forward to reading more. It was great to be able to join the online service (sitting in Castleblayney with Eamon O'Reilly). A time of sadness, especially for all who can't make it, and yet also a time to celebrate Padraig's life adn take forward what he worked for. RIP Padraig.

Sincere sympathy to Pat, Ann and Mary on the death of your dear dad. My great memories of Padraig was collecting greenery from his garden to decorate St.Mary’s church at Easter time. He had such a selection to choose from. He was always so willing and helpful to give of his time and advise. He was the salt of the earth. He is now united with his dear wife Angela and he will join her in the communion of saints. Rest in peace, Padraig.
