An uplifting and kindly gentleman, with a lovely easy-going nature, it was a real pleasure to have had known Pádraig. He was always very welcoming to his house on the side of the hill, up the driveway, with his sense of warmth and fun that made visiting your dad a very enjoyable experience.
Truly inspiring in his humility at his musical talents, his genial nature, and his great listening, empathy and conversational skills, people like Pádraig do not come along all that often in this life. There is much love from many for Pádraig, which he always returned, and If ever there was a place reserved for anyone in heaven, he had booked his slot there, re-united with his wife, family gone on ahead, and friends above waiting on him.
May you rest in peace, Pádraig, play some tunes and be at one with the angels and saints, smiling down on us all from above.

Condolences to all the McManus family on the passing of Padraig. I have several happy memories of Padraig over the many decades past. Its a long time since he first called into greaghfarna as a member of the Curahill Ceili Band with the mummers in the early 1950s at the start of his musical career. A true son of Eireann gone to rest.

Deeply saddened to hear of Padriag's passing. May he Rest in Peace. Our memories are special. And go back a very long way to Doherty's Hall with the Curraghill Ceili band playing, dances at the 4 Cross Roads, fiddle sessions in Corough, Aughnasheelin and Ballinaglera when the exiles visited from New York......just to name a few. Great days and hard times too but we all weathered thro.....and almost in the wink of an eye the years have passed. Now time to rest Padraig, slan abhaile.
