Dear Vicki and family, thank you so much for sending the link for the funeral. Anne and I were watching it together and found it beautiful and comforting. My heart went for you all.
It was wonderful to meet you at Rob's and happy memories of being with Padraig and you for the weekend. You both have been very special friends of mine since we met.

My deepest sympathies to Vicki, Aedín, Clíodhna, Aoife and Deirdre and all who knew and loved Pádraig. Some of my oldest memories are associated with Derby Terrace and more recent ones (though 30 years ago now!) are of driving around Munster with Pádraig and Deirdre and two harps in the boot of the car. They were good times. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam.

Paudie as we knew him would rather engage your mind than ever resort to stick or strap as was the norm for many days. He loved to treat young lads on an intellectual level and thus made us all better. Not a violent bone in his body. RIp to a good man.

Indeed Padraig was a great compassionate teacher to all in The Abbey for many years, and was equally as kind,considerate and generous in everyday life,a true gentleman.
