Dearest Olive, Claire, Órla, Méabh, Eimear, Fiona, Ciarán and all of the beautiful Fitzgerald grandchildren,
We are so saddened to hear of Paddy's passing. All he did in his time here in the Holy Spirit BNS for the children and families of Ballymun will never be forgotten.

Sincere condolences to Olive and the Fitzgerald family/ extended family on the sad passing of Paddy. Paddy was junior to me in St Patrick’s College in the late 60’s. He was always a gentleman, courteous and kind.
He was a great supporter of the S.E.A.C.
in NAUL. He was a formidable teacher and educator and very proud of Holy Spirit B. N.S., its pupils,teachers and parents. A very hard worker, he understood social/educational disadvantagement.
Paddy was a great supporter of the G A A, at Club and County level. He also supported the FINGAL SCHOOLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE. It was always a pleasure to play HOLY SPIRIT in a football match.

Paddy was the principal of The Holy spirit when i attended, which was over 30 years ago. I met him 7 or 8 years ago whilst out walking. He remembered me straight away and asked about the wellbeing of my cousin Anthony. Thank you for all you done for us in your time at the school. May God watch over and protect you 🙏

My deepest condolences to Paddy's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Paddy in Holy Spirit for a short period. He showed great kindness towards me as a new teacher. We shared a common interest over the legal system and many interesting conversations were had.
