Padraig was not one to accept the status quo and devoted his life to improving the lot of others and of himself. He was an asset to the community and to his friends. His departure is a great shock. I will miss him dearly.

We spent a childhood together. He was a hero to me. I looked up to him. He was a loyal and good friend.

I could write a book about our many adventures except to say they played a big part in my childhood.

He distinguishes himself by his numerous acts of kindness and the endless service he gave to his community, his family and his friends.

He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him and had the good fortune to cross his path.

Even though he is no longer among us in the body I know his spirit will carry on and be there in a multitude of ways.

I wish him well on the next part of his journey and sadly say a fond farewell.
