So sad to hear of Paolo's death. Really enjoyed The Restaurant on TV- He was such a lovely gentleman- never harsh in his criticism but always encouraging. His review in the Weekender was the first thing I read on a Saturday morning. Sincere sympathy to Marian and his family, they will miss him greatly. May Paolo rest in peace.

RIP Paolo, he came across as such a lovely man, enjoyed anything he wrote or when he was on telly, he seemed so down to earth.
Very sad to hear of the death of Paolo, enjoyed watching The Restaurant and reading his reviews. Even though we never met him we feel like we've lost a friend. May he rest in Peace.

I didn't get to meet Paolo but I awaited the restaurant review in the Independent magazine every week, to which I believe he gave a fair and advisory comments on the establishment .

Although I only knew Poalo through reading his columns and from TV ,I thought he was a lovely man,always seemed to try pick out the best in people where others seemed to enjoy picking the worst.Deepest Sympathy to family,friends and colleagues ,may he Rest In Peace.
