I remember Mr. Gainey from my primary school years in the Mercy. He was always so kind to the students and went above and beyond. I broke my leg when I was 6 and I remember him carrying me every morning from my mother’s car up to my classroom.

Jack was a lovely man, quite engaging with an interesting (at times mischievous) sense of humour. A good citizen who left a positive impression at the Mercy school which he maintained for decades, also a positive local advocate well engaged with his supportive neighbours.
