It was with great sadness that I learnt of Pat’s passing. May his gentle soul Rest in peace.
He was an amazing gentleman who used to help my late parents Kitty & Ralph Simmons in Crestwood , doing odd jobs and cutting the lawn. Pat will be remembered as a dear neighbour and a great friend of many years and for always being there to help at any time. It was always good to be in Pat's company. He worked hard in his full-time job and when he retired he kept busy everyday, giving so much of his time to the community, parish and charity work in so many different organisations. He was a great supporter of the Mervue Music club on a Friday night, always ready to sing a song as only he could.
We will both miss him so much - we were so lucky to have him as a neighbour & friend.
Pat was a great family man and was always so proud of each and every one of them. He will be missed by his family, his neighbours and all his friends.

Pat, You were a great old raconteur whenever we met, especially when we waited, with our cuppa courtesy of Anne, Helen etc, to collect our Cope meals in Ballybane or, in earlier days, during your deliveries around town for C.L. Margaret & Dan can renew their acquaintance with you, now that you have entered through the pearly gates.
