Marie, sincere sympathy to you and all Pat’s siblings on his untimely passing. Pat came into our lives around 1966/67. I was a patient in Cappagh Hospital at the time. When visiting me one day my parents offered Pat, and his friend Willie, a lift up the long avenue. And the rest as they say is history. Pat became a huge part of the family and I will miss him more than I can ever say. Pat was a quiet man with a big presence. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

It's hard to put into words how much Pat meant both to myself and my 5 siblings.

He had digs in our Grandparents house (The McMahon's) in Mount Merrion, Co.Dublin. Whenever we visited our Grandparents we thought of Pat as an Uncle because he was so good to us.

He practically photographed our childhoods and we have hoardes of lovely family photos, all thanks to Pat. He really was a wonderful and keen photographer.

He often took us to the Cinema or rented movies for us from Xtra-Vision. He was so kind. We will really miss him.

Thank you, Pat for all that you did for us, and for your warmth & kindness towards our Grandparents.

You really were our honorary Uncle. Xx
