Pat was such a lovely neighbour to have. He always made time to stop and talk to everyone with a smile on his face. He will be sorely missed. I’m sure he is still playing his music from above. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I remember Pat from his time with Sacre Bleu-thats late 70's. Always friendly and easy company.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news about Pat. It was a privilege to have known him and to work with him for a number of years in DES teacher support services. His warmth and kindness knew no bounds. In recent years our encounters were fewer, but the occasional catch ups were always engaging.

Always great company; whether a Joycean anecdote, a funny story from the old days, or some well placed avuncular advice, Pat was a man who left an impact on all whom he encountered. He will be greatly missed.

Today I had the privilege of joining the congregation at the funeral of my beloved cousin Paddy via Web Cam.
To Geraldine, Adam, Connor and Emmet, Aunt Anna, Colum and Niamh I extend my deepest sympathy. What a beautiful send off! . He earned all the accolades bestowed on him. Keeping it "real", his inherent attributes were obvious as a little boy when I first played with him in McKee Park whilst on holiday at the family home!. May he rest in peace. Pat led the Cool Schools anti bullying programme and brought his immense knowledge to our team and to whole school communities. He was passionate about his work and his kind and friendly demeanour made him so approachable to all. He shared his knowledge and experience generously and was always available to lend an ear. He wore his many achievements lightly and we are the poorer for his passing. As the saying goes ,"No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care". Pat surely was the embodiment of this.
