The Donohue family have lost a superb gentleman. Having benefited from his many kind deeds as a fellow student & colleague on the Garbally teams, it’s timely to acknowledge his humility & determination to succeed while creating a rich sense of fun.
We loved your energy Pat & hope the good Lord rewards you with a high seat in his heavenly home. Rest gently.

Like Jim Fennel I too was a first year in Garbally and was lucky enough to be at Pat's table in the junior refectory. Pat was head prefect and it is clear to see why he was given that role. He was friendly,fair and a great example to us all. We are all the better for having known him and as well as that he was a shining example on the hurling and rugby fields.

My sincere condolences to Ann and Claire and all o Pat's family and extended families on the very untimely passing of a true gentleman. He was a couple of years ahead of me in the PE college in Limerick in the 70s.
We hurled together and Pat would always look out for his teammates.
He was a great character off the field too and he would regale the crowd. He always said there were great hurlers up around Craughwell if you could catch them.May your fond memories of Pat sustain you at this awful time and into the future. I bhlaitheas Dé go raibh sé.
