Sincere sympathy to all of Pat's family,friends and teaching colleagues at this sad time.Paddy, as we knew him in St Pat's,Drumcondra from 1973 to 75 as we made our initial foray into the big world outside our various towns and villages from all over the island,lit up our lives in so many ways.His wonderful wit and many funny stories made the Common Room in Glendalough the place to be.Behind this character was a kind and generous human being who I can tell from the many previous triibutes, passed these values on to hundreds of children down through the years.Kerry's loss was certainlly Mayo's win on this occasion.

He was the loveliest soul and a true gentleman who made a massive impact on so many people. I recall so many fond memories of him all those years ago when he taught me in Carn NS, but also the many conversations I would have had with him all the years after when I he would come to visit my parents. His mass was a beautiful testament to the lovely man he was and I know his memory will live long with us all. May his beautiful soul rest peacefully in heaven.

Today was a beautiful celebration of Pat's life and the way he lived.
He was a true and totally committed community man with a great sense of place and a love of people who always seemed to know the right thing to do.
Thank you to Pat and to you his family.
He was a great neighbour and we will miss him on Clarke's Road.
