To Catherine, Brian and Grainne, Our sincerest sympathies on the very sad and sudden passing of Pat. He was a legend and was well known and liked by everyone. He helped me out several times and kept me motoring when I was stuck. He was a good friend of my family and will be missed. May he rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Brian and all the Fitzpatrick family. Pat played a big part in many happy memories with Eire Óg in the nineties. May be Rest In Peace.
To Catherine, Brian and Grainne and all the Fitzpatrick and Glynn Families, our Heartfelt Sympathies, on the very Sad and sudden passing of Pat.
My earliest Memory of Pat goes back to my Primary School Days in 1977 when he sold my Father his first Renault Car, getting him to switch from Ford, which was a big thing back then..
As long as I have known Pat since, through the years, especially at Eire Og Committee Meetings, he always retained a wonderful Glint in his eyes that radiated a bit of Crack and Good Humour. Pat really loved to liven up those Meetings, by getting something “going” by suddenly asking to talk ‘through the Chair’. Sometimes you caught the wink first. Afterwards there was always a Great old Chat and a bit of a Laugh. More than anything he was Mr. Football in Eire Og, the Guy who put it on the Map. He was a Great Friend to everyone, all across the ages at the Club, always a word of encouragement that lifted people up, which is something that requires a very special quality. I think Everyone has their own special Fitzy story to tell or remember him fondly for.
Many People might qualify to be called a ‘Pat Fitz’, but there was only ever One Pat Fitz in any one’s mind, any time the name was mentioned. He truly was a One Off. He will be very sadly missed by many many people, a tribute to a Wonderful Life.
We wish you all the Very Best and May God take care of you all, and Mind you, through the Days ahead.
