Pat was a true gentleman and bore his illness with great dignity. During his illness we worked together on kit for his beloved North Kildare RFC, still professional a ever and never complaining. He will be solely missed by all here at Rhino Rugby and the greater rugby community. May he rest in peace.
Kathy I would like to extend my sympathies to you and your daughters. You have lost an amazing man from your lives and I know how much he truly loved you all. Pat was my shelter when I played with Munster and not just professionally. He understood the trials and tribulations as well as the joy and pride of being a rugby player. He protected and cared for us in a way very few have the ability to. I will miss Pat from this world but will think of him often especially when I listen to the Boxer. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. Kindest regards, James Coughlan.
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Pat. I have many happy memories of our time together at Clongowes. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time.
