Gemma, Emily, Olwen and Bebhinne,
I first met Pat 45 years ago on his first day in Altergo. We immediately clicked as we shared an alma mater in Scoil Mhuire, Marino. Although our contact during those years was often intermittent, we kept in touch as we both grew into marriage and fatherhood. He was a true friend over all the ages; always there to help, listen and share in his unique understated way. I will miss him deeply. I can imagine your own sense of loss. My thoughts are with you.

Gemma, Emily, Olwen & Bebhinne,
On a very sad day, it was a pleasure to meet you in Skerries today and to spend some quality time reminiscing about Pat. The breadth of reflections from friends from Ireland and the UK, from siblings and children, from recent and long-ago work colleagues and from former college friends was truly extraordinary. I think everyone who attended the service in Skerries rugby club, or the burial ceremony at Ardla, or the lunch at Joe Mays learned about an aspect of Pat’s life that we didn’t know until today! A gentleman from head to toe, a doting family man, a concert-going rocker with a vicious football pedigree… he was some man for one man!
On behalf of all at Accenture and the Revenue Commissioners, we mourn the loss of a fantastic colleague and friend, and we wish you the best as you come to terms with his all-to-soon passing.
May he rest in peace.

I have wonderful ones of the times we spent together , particularily, when
we both worked in Dow Chemicals in Holland. We embraced the experience doing everything from attending Dutch language classes, skating on frozen lakes, playing football in Holland,Belgium and Germany, socialising in the local squash club, travelling from Brussels to
Copengagen, dancing and singing at the Carnival, cycling in the Dutch countryside and refeshing ourselves with smooth glasses
of Tuborg beer. I cannot remember having anything but fun and pleasure in his company. He was an interesting , kind and
wonderful man. I have this lasting vision of Pat enjoying his frites and mayonaise , smiling and saying with relish in Dutch - Lekker(delicious).
Pat, life was Lekker but too short for you, Tot Ziens (until we see you again).
