I was very saddened to hear of Pat's passing. My sincere condolences to all the Kilduff family. I will be forever grateful to Pat for giving me a job in a field that there were so few women at that time. He also taught me how to drive, which I am extremely thankful for. He had the patience of a saint. On wet days, when we couldn't work outside, I learned how to play cards. Pat taught me the quickest way to learn was when you lost money. He was a very kind, patient and happy man and provide employment to many a person around the area. Ferbane has lost a great man. RIP Pat! He's probably up there painting the Pearly Gates.

I have many fond memories of Pat as we were growing up in Ferbane. He now joins that illustrious group who will be fondly remembered in ‘the three of four, I’ll see no more, in the green fields around Ferbane’.

I started my apprenticeship with Pat on October 8th 1984, he taught me a lot about painting and decorating but especially how to hang wallpaper which I still do today and make my living at. He was always very fair and quick to give me a second chance when I messed up which was quite often, I will always be eternally grateful for all he taught me including how to play cards (21 and 110) at break times.
