I was very sad to hear of Pat's death, Jean. My condolences to you and the family and to his brother Killian. As you know our families grew up very close to each other in Killarney and we were great friends.
Nuala & I regret very much that we were unable to attend the funeral Mass but we followed it online. It was a beautiful ceremony.
We were very glad that Michèle was able to represent us at the Mass and she and Niamh at the burial in Aghadoe.

I was so sorry to hear of Pat’s death and am so sorry that I could not be at the funeral. I’m in Australia for a meeting this week. Sincere sympathy to Mrs MacCarthy and the six ‘boys’ and their families. I have very fond memories of Pat’s many kindnesses and pray that he is now enjoying the reward of a good and faithful servant. I will be offering Mass for his happy repose here in Melbourne on Thursday.
