Just heard today about Pat’s passing. Very sad news. I did business with Pat during his ESB days. A lovely man.

A month gone today Poj. You are in so many of the best memories of my twenties & thirties. While our meet ups & catch ups became less frequent in recent years due to life getting in the way, I always thought we'd have a whole lifetime to get back into the swing of things once life became less busy. Now however, your untimely passing has forever gotten in the way. I'll always hold you in my heart as one of my dearest friends, funny & witty, and so kind & caring. Your family were everything to you, Mags & the kids, and your Mum, Ann & James. Words just cannot express the feeling of immense loss & sadness. Life can be so cruel. Still, we are all so lucky to have known you & our memories & lives are all the richer for it. I hope you knew how much everyone loved you & held you deservedly in such high regard. I knew Pat growing up from the bar at home in Buttevant but hadn’t met him in years until last July in Croke Park with the U12’s, what a gentleman, full of chat and delighted to be there with his kids and enjoying “these days”.
