I miss you so very much my heart actually hurts who knew how much pain it would cause to lose you, your where the roof over my head, I am utterly lost in life without you, you were my world, I miss our chats coffee and debates more then I ever thought I would, I would give all the money in the world for 2 minutes to talk to you Again and to here you say how are you love and how our my boys, I can’t put into words what you meant to be me and I can’t explain to anyone really how amazing you are not only where you my father you where my best friend, my complete mentor my biggest fan, my taxi, my babysitter, my advisor my financial support if needed my doctor, my absolute world if I am honest, I loved our chats even though you drove me nuts, you pushed me to educate myself read the news and not over spend. You were without a doubt the most amazing granddad I feel so sad for Charlie and joey words can’t even explain just how sad I feel that they won’t get to have you everyday like I did, I wish so so much they had more time to experience just how wonderful kind and uplifting you are, my children are better kinder people because of you, I absolutely adore you dad and I always will, my life will never be the same without you, but I am trying ever so hard to make you proud and keep going, I love you so much dad it’s hurts so much without you. Thank you for the best childhood and adulthood anyone could ever dream of, your baby Shauna x you are and will always be my living legend

I was only with Paddy about 6 monhs ago, having a few beers in the Cottage bar in Bluebell, sad to here of his passing.

I am heartbroken to hear the tragic news of Paddy's passing. We were work mates in Irish Rail for over 20 years. More importantly, we were mates and we shared some fabulous times together. He was truly a character of great stature and worked tirelessly for his workmates in union matters. But it's Paddy's character and the love and committment to his loving family tgat will be missed so much by Rita and the family. I will forever hold our precious memories together very close to my heart. May you forever rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Rita, Edel, Peter and Shauna, on the passing of our dear friend and neighbour Pat. I will sadly miss my walking buddy during which our chats would put the world to right. I'm sure we will hear the thunder of the whole hereafter walking and running with him.

I met Pat about three or four times. I was hoping to come over to Dublin and see him again. On those too few occassions that I met him he left a huge impression on me. He was a great character. I was very sad to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to Rita and to all the members of his family.
