I have never forgotten Pat's kindness to me in Summer of 1969 when tragedy struck our family. I shed tears then and again when I heard of my friend Pat's passing.

Sincere sympathy to the O Mahoney family on the passing of Pat May he rest in peace
Deepest sympathies to Mary, Olan, Hannah and Pat's extended family. I was fortunate to have known Pat through my time at Newbridge College. I could never fathom how he as Principal could offer so much of his time and attention to one student in a school with so many, but it seems his care for and interest in others was simply bottomless. Even after graduating and moving overseas he still remembered us all and when visiting home one could always rely on bumping into Pat for a catch-up while on a walkabout. I followed his work on retirement villages with interest and it's clear retirement brought no end to his work for others. Although his life was cut short he achieved so much. His absence will be keenly felt but his influence will live on in all those he impacted and taught by example. RIP.
Deepest sympathy to his wife Mary, son Olan, brothers Dan, Michael, Frank and sister Nan and the extended O'Mahony Family on the sad passing of your beloved Paddy. May his soul now rest in peace.

May he rest in peace 🙏
We’re so saddened to hear of Pat’s passing. He always had such a strong presence in the College, greeting everyone by name in the quad between classes, caring and passionate about the school and students. As a family, we’ve shared special memories, individual to our own experience that we’ll always treasure and fondly reminisce over. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Deepest sympathies to Pat's family at this sad time. Thinking back since I saw the tribute on the St. Joseph's Community College FB page earlier....I remember he was instrumental in setting up a computer room in the school.... this was the very early 90s, so most of us had never even seen a computer! He also established our involvement in a mini-enterprise competition. All these initiatives really helped prepare us for the life that lay ahead. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace 🙏🏻
From our UCD Ags 1969 class we all branched out to our various careers
paths. Paddy's was one of the most clourful and successful. At our 55th reunion, May 2024, he was showing great enthusiasm for life and for the project he was pursuing, so the news of his death is a shock to me. May he rest in peace and may all his family be comforted in acknowledging his immense contribution to this world over his lifetime.

We are deeply saddened to learn of Pat’s passing. Sincere sympathy to Mary, Olan, Hannah and the extended O’Mahony family. One of life’s gentlemen and a visionary educator and educationalist, Pat’s professional dedication, determination, kindness, passion, integrity and wisdom positively influenced and enhanced the quality of life of both students and colleagues alike. He was an outstanding visionary who was instrumental in the amalgamation of the Mercy sisters convent in Kilkee and Kilkee Vocational School. While his stay in Kilkee was shortlived, he left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He was an educator and doer leaving no stone unturned to ensure Kilkee school was promoted and foster a love of learning developing both technical and academic subjects.
