Reading all the beautiful acknowledgements about my brother Pat I realise I knew nothing about him at all. As a young lad Pat worked hard to get his qualifications, he would travel to the UK every summer to work, for you know one needed a few bob to get through University. Where we came from this was a fantastic achievement. I remember when he graduated my parents were so proud also the neighbours as well. Pat's first job in Millstreet but after that we went our different way's only to meet for funerals and two weddings. I missed a lot then about the brother I never knew. I am thankful I got to say goodbye to Pat on the 19th December it was a humbling experience to see what cancer was doing to my brother a cancer he fought with dignity as did my mother and sister Margaret. All I can say is thanks to everyone for their nice acknowledgements.
May Pats memory be a blessing

Sincere Condolences on Pat's recent passing. RIP. He unveiled the mysteries of Mathematics for me in 2nd year, Rosscarbery. He also trained me into "Give & Go" in Basketball in the Sports Complex.
