In his over 50 years in Carlow Rowing Club Pat was much more than the manager of the bar - he was a loyal friend to so many of us.
Generous, concerned, supportive, nothing was too much trouble to him.
He will alway be remembered as a very special person, a pillar of the Club for so long.
His Honorary Life Membership award was a small mark of appreciation of what he meant to the Club.
We were privileged to have known him.
