I have many memories of how you helped make me what I am today.
You were so kind to me when my dad died when I was 22 years old. In later years I used to meet you at 8oc Mass in St Fergals in Bray. Thank you for everything. Pat rest in peace.

So sad we couldn’t be there to offer our condolences in person. It was a lovely simple funeral service. Condolences to Tess, Sinead, Aedín, Ciarán, Tomás and Maura and all the family. Uncle Pat will be missed.

One of my earliest memories, is of Mr Ryle (Paddy) chasing after me as I bolted out through the school door of Kilcoole NS on my first day in school in the late 70’s. Yes, he did catch me, and settled me in in no time. Such a kind man.

I want to thank Paddy for is positive influence, instilling in me the love of Irish History and for creating some lovely memories of my school days.

An inspiration for many.

Condolences to the Ryle family. I was lucky enough to have "Mr.Ryle" (never Pat!) as a teacher in the early 70's. Inspiring and passionate, he somehow could teach 3 classes in one room and manage us all. He nurtured an interest in nature, geography and science in me and is the reason I followed my career as a geologist. I can still see his chalk diagrams explaining metamorphic rocks! Sincere condolences to the Ryle family on the passing of Pat.I was a pupil in Kilcoole BNS and Paddy was my teacher during my primary years.He had a massive positive influence on me both educationally and to be Irish and proud.He would regail us with stories of Irish legend and heroes and fired up our hearts and imaginations at ease.He also taught my son who like myself had huge respect and regard for him.He was a brilliant teacher and a lovely warm person and he will never be forgotten by all his former pupils in Kilcoole.May you rest in peace Paddy.
