It was with great sadness that myself and Joan learned
about the passing of Patricia so soon after the equally sad passing of her beloved brother Brendan. These are such difficult times for the extended Maguire and Askin families. I first met this beautiful person when she called to see me at the hotel that my Mayo team mates and myself were staying at on the night before our All Ireland minor final against Cork in September of 1961. It was well noted by my team mates how kind and supportive she was. We offer our sincere condolences to her grieving family in the belief that Patricia is now with Brendan and her father and mother amongst the angels in God's heavenly kingdom.
