Michael, Ed, Ben - condolences to you all.
Pat was a very special, kind-hearted Lady who always made time for people and always had a witty story to impart to the many people she encountered everyday. Even from my short time working in Trinity, I have learned so much from her. She will be truly missed by all those who had the pleasure in working with her in HR, Trinity and much further afield.
Ed and Ben, your mum spoke so often of you at work. She would have been immensely proud of your moving tribute at today's service and how you have helped each other and your Dad get through the last few days.
My thoughts are with you all.
Michael (TCD Pensions Office)
"SHE IS GONE"
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived;
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left;
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared;
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday;
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on;
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on;

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Pat's passing. She was such a wonderful colleague and always made time for everyone who needed her help. I bumped into Pat in the street only a few weeks ago and we shared a lovely chat together. She had such a way with words. She will be very sadly missed. My prayers and thoughts are with Pat's family and friends at this sad time.
We were so sorry and shocked to hear the news while in France and arrived back too late today ( Weds 18th) to pay our respects, as we would have wished. Such a vivacious person and such a stimulous over the many years we worked and matured together . Jim Mason
Ben,thinking of you and all your family at this time.

To Pat's Loving Family
I was very saddened to hear of Pat's sudden and untimely passing!!! I am sorry I won't be able attend Pat's funeral!
I only spoke to Pat last Tuesday evening at Carols Service in the Senior common room in College - she was in great form - we shared a joke and a laugh!! She said how much she was enjoying retirement!
Pat was really kind to me when I first came to college in 2002 to work in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Pat's caring kindness has continued ever since! Pat always had a lovely warmth about her and always had a kind word, wisdom, witty anecdotes about college and smile to offer!!! In retirement college lost a great servant - in her passing you her family have lost an irreplaceable gem!
My thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with you in the loss of Pat!

Sleep Softly Dear Friend
Sleep softly dear Friend sleep,
Your soul is now gone to heaven forever God's to keep,
May the green shamrocked sod of Erin in eternity frequent your resting place
May your family and friends always remember your loving kindness and beauty,
Never ever failing to hold dearly the memory of the smile you always wore on your caring happy face!

Sincere condolences to Michael on your sad loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I am so very sorry. I first met Pat in 1966 in TCD. She was one of the kindest, most intelligent, tactful and utterly delightful of friends. I shall miss her irreplaceable warmth and her inventive and contagious sense of humour so much. From the heart, my deepest condolences. David.
Pat Daly - what a very special, wonderful person.
She was enormously helpful and kind on so many occasions. I loved her quirky, offbeat tales and my heart goes out to her family whom she so often talked about so fondly. I am very sorry not to be able to pay my respects in person but will be thinking about you all at this difficult time.

Currently in France, I am unable to attend her funeral, but was deeply saddened to hear of Pat Daly's early death. She was in post throughout my years in College and was always most efficient and considerate. Her loss will be felt sorely by her family, to whom I extend my sincere condolences.
Ben, I am so sorry for your loss. We are all in shock. Thinking of you and your family.XX
I am very sorry I will not be able to pay my respects in person but I am abroad at present.
Pat interviewed me when I was first employed in college way back in 1985 and since then have availed of her unique talents on a number of occasions. She recently got the Irish embassy in Moscow to open on a Saturday to issue a visa to the mother of student who had severe mental health issues.
To me that epitomized a level of professional care, kindness and commitment way beyond the call of duty which was the hallmark of everything she did.
May she rest in peace.
