Condolences to Pat’s twin sister Margaret and all the extended Horne family. I remember Pat's tireless work in Zambia in the 1990s, working all her waking hours, caring for the poorest and most needy people. It was humbling to observe her selflessness and her unaffected nature. And she’d still manage to fascinate friends at dinner parties with her boundless energy and enthusiasm and her recollections of events past and present and her vast experience helping the neediest of people. What a difference she has made to so many lives. It has been a privilege to know her.

May I offer, on behalf of The Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association, our sincere condolences to Margaret on the death of her beloved sister Patricia. She wore with a quiet unassuming dignity her many achievements on behalf of her fellow man. She and Margaret were far more interested in telling the story of their wonderful father and his work as a doctor during the Great War. She will be missed by her many friends and colleagues but she will never be forgotten..
Lovely memories of working with Pat in St Davnets in the late 1970s. I have never forgotten her wise words and her deep commitment to her work and colleagues RIP.
