I met Pat in fine fettle just six weeks ago at the Historical Society in Donabate where she reminded me that she and my mother had been volunteer guides together in Newbridge House when it first opened. She was in great form that night and it's shocking to think such a vibrant active person has left us. But if that night was anything to go by, she lived life fully, whole heartedly, until the end. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the sudden passing of your beautiful Mum.

Patricia was a wonderful lady whose smile and warm personality would light up any room she was in. Had only met her at a recent event in the Shoreline Hotel and she was in great form.

Patricia had a wonderful passion and great interest in both Donabate and the wider Fingal area over her lifetime. She also gave enormously of her time and energy freely to so many local organisations. Her knowledge of local history was not only legendary but always so meticulously researched too.

She is now back with George and Stephen but no doubt her beautiful smile and heart of Gold will be greatly missed. May you all take comfort and consolation in the time ahead of a life fully lived and enjoyed right to the very end.
