My deepest condolences to all the family on the loss of Patricia, RIP. I attended her Speech & Drama Classes for many years and I learnt so much from her. We always had great fun at classes in the Green House on Bishop Street, I have many fond memories of those Saturday mornings. May she Rest in Peace.

Tuam Theatre Guild brought many good productions on the All-Ireland circuit, I recall Tuam coming to Athlone. Their production of Friel's Cass Maguire was wonderful with Patricia playing a sterling role as 'Cass'. She took best actress award that year, most deserved. More years than I care to remember(!) but the great tributes I'm reading here do justice to a wonderful person. My sympathy to her family and indeed her friends at this sad time. She left her mark with us all.

She inspired them so much to be creative, Patricia was always full of fun, she imparted that gift to all her pupils & people in her lifetime. Her presences in our neighbourhood was missed when she moved away, Patricia always had a smile, & the chats. & laughter when we met.

Crafty Kiddieland was an institution, it was amazing because of your Mam and l loved when your dad subbed as teacher in Pats Primary, he had such a presence. They were both such lovely people and left such a legacy for Tuam folk. Sorry for your families loss may Patricia rest in peace.

Patricia King was an important part of my childhood and teenage years, and I have so many happy memories of her Speech and Drama classes - in fact they are some of my clearest and favourite memories. She was a wonderful person and teacher, and I was lucky to know her. My sincerest condolences to her family for their loss.

We are so sad to hear of her passing and have many wonderful memories of Krafty Kidland, our Speech & Drama lessons first in the Community centre and then in the Green house on Bishop Street.
Her joy and energy were boundless as she directed our pieces, pulled books of the shelves filled with poems and drama extracts and prepared us for our exam in the big room upstairs. Heading into Speech & Drama class was like a trip to the Bazaar – the eclectic collection of trinkets, the shot glasses she received as presents from all around the world and the fancy wallpaper in the bathroom. We cherish the time spent with her.
