I remember Mrs McAteer and what a great hub of excitement the shop was when Lauri & her children were coming to visit. There was such a great buildup of excitement for Mrs McAteer who had the whole county told about their upcoming visit, I can still see her polishing the apples on the counter, we were almost as excited as she was.

Fond memories of my cousin Lauri and the many summers she spent with her family on the Curragh. Long summer days spent between the Curragh, Saggart and the Wicklow mountains and a trip to Donegal with my mam dad and I. Many visits to all her family here in Ireland. Memories to treasure. Thinking of the girls at this sad time.
