I have fond memories of your Mother and Father going back to circa 1975. I was abroad when I got the news. When we meet next , I would hope to express my condolences in person, John McEvoy

In Speech and Drama class in Alexandra College Mrs.McHugh offered a confidence platform for those who struggled to project their thoughts and words. She gave them a place to thrive.

She provided a platform for others who needed to express their wilder personalities amongst many differing and similar characters. She gave them a place to thrive.

Mostly though, she created a place where we all found our comfort zone, through books, plays and poetry.

I remember her beautifully painted nails as bright as her personality, and how when she tapped her hands on the table to settle us, we were silenced by the lovely sound of her rings clacking on the desk.
I’m sure she’d tell me ‘clacking’ isn’t a word.

Alexandra College gave us all many gifts, Mrs.McHugh was one of them.

For that I’ll always be grateful

I only knew Patricia through the delightful and very loving anecdotes that Emer would regularly share from her trips to Bray.
Yet enough said to feel great love in my own heart for this beautiful brave woman.
