To Patricias family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Patricia. She was one of my favourite patients and I loved answering her calls. I remember during lockdown we spoke for a long time and she gave me a great laugh describing an experience she had in hospital. She reminded me a lot of my Nana which is a huge compliment! X
Peter, Susan & Cari, our deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May she rest in peace, alongside your father.
My sincere sympathy on the passing of Patricia. I worked in the National Archives many years ago. I often met Patricia and chatted with her. She was a lovely lady, friendly, humorous, and enthusiastic about her research. Rest in peace Patricia.
I was so sad to hear about Pat's death. I knew her from 1990s, People's College, creative writing class. A few of us formed a social & creative group called The Flying Scribblers. Pat was a lovely vibrant woman, warm, intelligent, always curious, energetic & had a great sense of humour. She was active in her writing & broadcast several stories on RTE1 radio, Sunday Miscellany. Her stories were often funny things had happened at home. She was a consummate story teller. She was very proud of her family & her stories showed her love.
Sincerest sympathies Cari, Susan & Peter from Declan & myself on the passing of your lovely Mum RIP

My sincere condolences to Pat's family and friends. I confess I hadn't known Pat very well but in recent times had the pleasure of sitting opposite her at an AGI dinner and during the course of the afternoon discovered at least seven reasons why everyone liked her so much. Thanks for the chat Pat. May you rest in peace.

We were all the richer for knowing Pat, and now we are poorer for having lost her. May she rest in peace.
Cari, I was just folding the Irish Times to do the crossword and spotted your Mam's death notice, peace to her, and my sympathy to you, Susan and Peter on your loss.
Cari, Susan and Peter, there was nothing better than a US visit from Pat! She was such a bright light with wonderful stories that kept us all captivated listening. I am so sorry for your loss - heartbreaking. Sending strength and love your way.

I am so sorry to learn of the death of Pat. A wonderful colleague and great story-teller. May she rest in peace.
To Cari, Susan, Peter: Your mother was a valued colleague in Accredited Genealogists Ireland, and a treasured friend. One could meet her after many weeks or months, or even, as in more recent times, a year or so, yet instantly pick up with her where one left off. Her ability to recount the details of her research in fabulous detail never ceased to amaze me. As Máire Mac Conghail has already said of Pat, she just seemed to attract the ideal source - and some - for whatever was the subject of her research. And all of that fed her natural abilities as a first-rate raconteur. She either stunned you with the most unusual source she had unearthed, proving her hypothesis, or she had you in stitches of laughter as she wove an intricate tale. In 2015 Pat was the first member of AGI to be elected an Emeritus Member of the Association and at the time it gave her colleagues a great deal of pleasure to see Pat’s many years of contribution to Irish genealogy recognised in this way. So long, Pat, you won’t be forgotten.
Sincere sympathy to Cari Susan Peter and Audrey on the passing of Pat,a very special lady and a pleasure to have known for many years. May she rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear of Pat’s death. I will always remember her sense of fun and humour. Rest in peace.
Pat, the genealogist, and exhilarating storyteller was always such good company. She had a magic touch when researching - documented sources seem to always come her way.
My condolences and sincere sympathy to Pat's family.

I was so sad to hear this afternoon of Pat's death. She was a lovely colleague and it was always a pleasure to meet up with her at our AGI AGM. She served with me on the committee of the Irish Genealogical Congress back in the 1990s and I remember so well listening to the laughter coming from the room in which she entertained the stewards at the 3rd IGC in Maynooth in 1997. Pat was a born raconteur. The most extraordinary things happened to her or involving people or places she knew, that she could recount with such a magical touch. I have such fond memories of this lovely woman. My sincere sympathy to Cari, Susan, Peter and her entire family. Peace to your soul Pat.
My deepest sympathy to you Peter and your family on the sad passing of your mum. May her gentle soul rest in peace .
