How do you properly describe and pay tribute to the force of nature that was Patricia? A truly gifted and dedicated teacher who set the bar high and encouraged every student and staff member who worked with her to achieve their potential and more. A person who always gave new staff members a welcome, encouragement and led by example.
She was empathetic to every family but also practical and always focused on what students could do. She fearlessly advocated especially for those whose voices were weak. She adored and was adored by all students.
She was so generous with her time, her belongings and her money! She added in no small way to the education of teacher and SNA colleagues and she has influenced many teachers now working in so many schools.
For the many of us who were her friends, she was such fun, good company and loyal through thick and thin. She was generous in every way. So many stories have been told, laughed and cried over this week! Patricia, you are sorely missed but we are all very grateful for the time we had with you.

May she rest in peace.
To Patricia’s family, we send our love. She adored you all.
Patricia had so many roles in her life and to each one she gave 100%. In St John of God School, she was a talented and innovative teacher. She should have won an Oscar for her direction of the infamous Christmas concerts that made us laugh and cry at the same time.
Patricia had the connectivity of the internet before it was invented. She connected people to make new friendships.
Corus was where she rocked it out every Wednesday night in Clontarf with her singing and dance moves in perfect harmony. Her legacy to us all is in her actions “for the greater good Litter picking and weeding the streets of Drumcondra. Secretly sponsoring people who had missed out on education early in life, rewarding anyone who was willing to work hard.
Never afraid to spend money, she supported the local economy in Drumcondra’s small businesses, having coffees and breakfasts with her pals. She believed that everyone deserved a chance to succeed. Ever independent and capable, she was not always patient but her few requests for help last week were specific, practical and perfect for her and for her friends as true solution focused therapy for us.
In her poor health she was stoic, positive and hopeful. She was thankful and felt lucky to have such wonderful family and friends. Patricia, we were the lucky ones to have had your friendship.
The world feels different without you already. Until we meet again - Grá go deo mo chara.
My heartfelt sympathies to all Patricia’s family.
I met Patricia way back 2004 when I arrived in on work experience as an
SNA. Patricia took me under her wing and we became friends straight away.
She made school a fun place of learning for all the children and making sure they reached their potential. She was a great mentor a loyal and caring friend to all and we are going to miss her so much. Sleep tight Patricia
My condolences to Patricia’s family and friends. She was an amazing teacher with a huge zest for life. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her in Islandbridge. Rest in peace, Patricia.

Sincere heartfelt condolences to Patricia's family, friends and all who loved her.

There are not enough words to convey the positive impact Patricia had in the life of so many young girls during her time as our Captain in the Artane Girl Guides.

She really had a profound impact on my life and many others.
She gave us so many wonderful memories which will last a lifetime, from all the wonderful guiding competitions she put us through, in the themed entertainment competitions she gave us all a deep love of singing, dancing, acting, campfire songs, in the games competitions playing crossover bean bags, throw & duck etc to name but a few. She was a hard task master and expected nothing less than perfection from us which was a winning formula as we experienced the joy of winning so many of the competitions we entered and all because of her strong belief in us.

My utmost profound memory will always be our guiding trip to Switzerland. The highlight was seeing Dirty Dancing on the big screen in the cinema but also visiting the most wonderful attractions and beautiful sights with the most wonderful women, it was an experience of a lifetime and so many wonderful lasting memories.

The many lifelong friendships and memories of so many wonderful years in guiding I have are all because of the absolute legend "Captain O'Connor" who was a tremendous lady.

May you have the softest bed in heaven Captain O'Connor and thank you for the wonderful memories and positive experiences.
My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to all Patricia’s family. Patricia was a wonderful friend and Colleague. The students and staff in St Michael’s House special school were blessed to have her in our lives. We will miss you Trisha. Rest in Peace.
