I’m a cousin of Patricia- her mother (Maud)and my mother (Ellen Flynn)were sisters. To all the Dowd-O’Hara family, I want to express my sadness at Patricia’s passing. I remember her from my young years particularly when I used to go to Mayo and stay with the Flynn family over in Ballymanagh, and always visit the Dowds in Tullysleva. Patricia was always a bubbly lively person. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam. Ed McDonald, Dublin.

Our thoughts are with you all on the loss of Patricia, she was a really wonderful woman. We all have very fond memories of our time in Mayo and some of our best evenings were in Patricia’s kitchen at the stove chatting. She was such a mighty woman and worked so hard throughout her life. She really deserved the beautiful send off she got. It was so beautiful & fitting from start to finish.

Her legacy is undoubtedly the wonderful family she leaves behind.
