I first met her in 1964 in Loreto Convent as my french teacher. She taught us oral French with a projector and tape recorder/very advanced for 1964

She was a most kind, fair and pleasant teacher and I hold very fond memories of her .She instilled in me a love of the french language and I thank her for that

Sincere sympathy to all the Gallagher family on the death of Patsy RIP. My mother Theresa taught with her in Loreto, Letterkenny in the 1950s and they remained great friends afterwards. I remember fondly Patsy's visits to our home in Rathmullan, often with bundles of the Far East in tow. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam dílis.

Lovely photo of Patsy , as I remember her. She taught me in the Convent but being family I knew her outside that as well. She had a dry wit and it was through her and the Far East that I first came across Pudsy. She had a great interest in the Royal Family and my abiding memory is her late night baking with Sally making our wedding cake. Rest in Peace Patsy.

Sorry to hear of Patsy's death. She was well known to my late mother Nellie and visited our house for many years with The Messanger and The Far East. She contributed to my great devotion to the Sacred Heart today. May she rest in peace.

I have very happy memories of her as my teacher in Loreto back in the day. She was just great and a very kind person too and witty. She helped us a lot with our French and got involved in other activities such as plays and musicals. I remember her bringing our class on a trip to Derry which was a most exciting thing in those times.

I have lovely memories of Miss Gallagher bringing a crowd of us who used to deliver the Far East for her into Derry at Christmas for a show and meal. That was a highlight that we looked forward to.
As a teacher of Maths and French she was patient and gentle and had the capacity to make one feel all was possible.
A truly Human Christian woman.

I wish to express sincere sympathy on the death of Ms Gallagher ...Patsy to the seasoned students at Loreto .She was a brilliant teacher of French and Maths .She had the gift of gentleness which endeared her to her students. I remember Ms Gallagher coming into school during Easter Holidays to give us extra tuition so as we would have a better chance at doing well thus better opportunities in life . Thank you Ms Gallagher for your kindness. I will always remember you with fondness.
