So sad to read of the death of dear Patsy. As a young medical secretary in Sligo General Hosp I had the absolute privilege of working beside Female Medical where I could observe an expert at work. Her kind, caring and compassionate approach to her patients was unique. Her respect for her staff was exemplary, while also being "the boss". All served with a level of professionalism where you could not avoid learning from her, all done with a smile and good humour. Anybody with a little problem requiring her ear was treated to a cup of tea..usually in the Linen cupboard! Dear Patsy you will never be forgotten. Heartfelt sympathy to her husband, family and extended relatives who no doubt will be heartbroken at the loss of such a wonderful lady. Rest in well deserved peace Patsy

Patsy was such a power house of energy on the medical ward. She had a laugh but got the work done in quick fast time. She thought a lot of younger staff how to treat people and introducing fun to our tough work at times. Thank you for your guidance and care.
