To all the O'Brien family my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear mother Patsy. I didn't know until today (July 10th.) that both your mam and dad were no longer with us. I recall with great pleasure the experience of working with Fintan for ten years. May they both rest in peace and rise again to eternal glory.

Dear David, Ignatius, Geraldine, Fintan, Fiona and Patricia, and all your family. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be with you for your wonderful mum's funeral,may she rest in peace, with your wonderful Dad. I know there are lifetime's of stories to tell, and I did visit your mum and Dad after they moved to London/Acton after I also moved over to Surrey/Sussex in 1988. It was lovely to see most of you there too. But its the Bettystown Days that loom large, and forever in my mind, David, your mum always had that beautiful special Irish welcome ready in Eastham House, in our school days, if I dropped in. I'll pick just one episode here from early 80s one summer, in my teens when I was out perhaps a bit too late, with darkness falling on Bettystown beach with friends. And I spotted your mum pulling down on the sand, in that rather large S class Mercedes of your Dad's, and I know instinctively that she was looking for me, after being called by my mum.. in those pre mobile phone days. Such was your lovely mum, always willing to help, at the drop of a hat, always hard working, nothing was any trouble. And look at the beautiful family she raised, and the lovely generations after. Our sincerest sympathy to the O’Brien family on the passing of Patsy. I met Patsy many years ago in London while she was working with Dodo. Patsy was always kind and friendly to me and always made me feel welcome when I called to see Aunty Dodo!
Patsy was a lovely lady and it was a pleasure to have met her.
