Sincere condolences to the McCarthy and Zimmer families. I remember meeting Patty at the Cousins Reunion in Bantry 4 years ago. My grandparents, Elsie & Jerry Collins also lived in Parade Field. I am very sorry to hear of Patty's passing. May she rest in peace.

I have happy memories of meeting her Mum and Dad on their Summer visits to Bantry and had a particular connection to Mary as we were born and reared in neighbouring parishes in the north of Co. Leitrim.

I wish to send my sincerest condolences to Erin, Joey, Franny, and the rest of the McCarthy family on the passing of Patty. I regret that I only knew her for a few years, but am heartened by the memories I do have of such a kind and gentle spirit. I will always remember her smile, laugh, and our shared love of all things food. :) Her amiable nature will be sorely missed, and I hope that the entire family can take solace in the cherished memories they have of such a wonderful human being.

So sorry for the loss of Patty, she sounds like she had a full life of enjoyment and sacrifice, I'm from Cork City not too far from Bantry, she sounds like a really good person, I would love to have met her ,I;m also 68 and thankfully in good health (so far) and I would like to send my sympathies to all Pattie's family and friends .RIP.
