Sincere condolences to all Patty's Family on Patty's sad passing. She was a beautiful person, a lovely neighbour and I remember so well babysitting for Patty and John with Hilary in Blakes Lane back in the '60's. Rest easy Patty in the arms of the Angels.

I probably don’t have enough space on here to talk about Patty and the Jacques family down the years in Tirconnell Avenue.
Patty was a lady, a graceful and a gentle soul but tough on us all at times growing up on the street, which stood to us all down the years. The green box was the goal but sure how many times would the ball go over the box, past the side garden, over the wall and into the back garden. Patty would keep the gate open so we could retrieve the ball ourselves.
My favourite was falling on one of the corner footpath stones and ending up with 6 stitches in my head from the infirmary.
Patty always gave the few pence for bob a job back in the day with the cub scouts even though someone else had just left doing something else.

She taped up my knee when I skateboarded down the drive and fell over. My mam was away at the time. Mrs Jacques to the rescue.

Never knew how she put up with that many in the family and the dogs King, Duke and Prince and still managed a smile every time we called to the house or hung around outside. She was a star and a great mom to ye all and I know ye are well proud.

As I said a great neighbour, a gentle and kind soul and will be always be fondly remembered by me and the Hartery family. Number 25
