So saddened to hear about the untimely passing of a very old & dear friend, Patricia Riordan.

Patricia was a childhood friend during my adolescence. For a number of years, Patricia, Patricia’s brother Rory, and my younger sister Josephine, were a close-knit group of young adventurers, embarking on many exciting activities within the environs of Renmore Road and the backlands and seashore behind Renmore Army Barracks. Needless to say, these were happy and carefree days, and compound the feeling of sadness on her passing.

Over recent years, we managed to reconnect. Thenceforth, she would occasionally make a comment, or give a nod to a family photos posted on social media.Patricia was always one to acknowledge such things, and on hearing the news that my son was embarking on an epic run around Ireland last year, Patricia‘s invitation to drop by her home at Glenbeigh followed instantly..

My deepest condolence to her daughters Sinéad and Aoife, and their partners Claire and Adam; her brothers Rory and Niall, and the extended Riordan and Kearns family.
