Sorry to hear the sad news about Pat. He was a true gentleman and a legend. Only for Pat I would probably have stopped playing rugby as a teenager but Pat's perseverance and driving all the way to Swords to bring me to training ensured I didn't. I am indebted to him. Rip Pat.

I was saddened only to hear of Pat’s death while in the Aviva last night, I was recounting the tale of Pat’s reaction to Ashbourne RFC win over Garda RFC many years ago! Pat was a total gentleman! Sincere condolences to all the Bobbett family! R.I.P.

He had wonderful energy as we would be sleeping in on a Sunday he would be up early in the farm. A highly respected person by all and many a conversation with him was always enjoyable. Those of us who die in the grace of God go no further from us than God and God is very near. RIP
