My deepest sympathies to Patrick's family and friends at this very difficult time. I was fortunate enough to know Patrick when I worked in the Courts Service for a few years. The ultimate professional who was so passionate about his work and also caring for his team, a gentleman. On a personal level we clicked immediately on our love of sports, and had endless debates on the good and the bad of Leinster hurling. Rest in Peace Patrick.

It was great getting to know Patrick over the last while with the under 8 girls in Plunketts. He was a top man, a natural hurling coach and such a great help every week. We are going to really miss him.

He was my manager for nearly 2 years when I was in the courts and he helped me with promotions even when I left his section. He was a pleasure to work with, always looked out for everyone and great sense of humour. Always up for the chats about sports especially the dubs. He talked fondly of his two girls and how he’d have them on the bike dropping them off in the mornings. He was a real family man and will be missed big time! Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May he rest in peace.

Joan, Rachelle and your two beautiful girls, there are no words to express what Patrick gave to the world. He was my work partner for many years in DSP. He could make me laugh with just a single look.

He will be kept alive in the countless funny stories all his colleagues share and will be missed everyday.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Patrick. I started working with Patrick when he transferred over to the Courts, he was a pleasure to work with and such a witty sense of humour, made my move up from Cork so much easier and enjoyable. He also had a great love for Hurling which was unusual for a Dub we had some great chats about hurling and of course Arsenal. My sincere sympathy to Rachelle and his two daughters.

We had some craic on the golf course on Sunday morning’s he had a great sense of humour, the laughs shared and the memories made will live on.
