Sincere condolences to Betty and family on the death of Paddy. He was a great character and always had a joke ready. Had the privilege of being in his company on several occasions and the banter was always mighty. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Can still see Paddy with his brother Jack in the shop singing and joking with us kids back in the 70s when we were sent down to Cullen Bros on errands. And, in later life, when I met him on my visits back to Drumcondra, Paddy was still the same- always had time to speak with an old neighbour, always a smile on his face, and still sharing his good humour with you. Paddy was full of goodness. I counted the money in Iona church for almost seven years with him he was highly efficient fast and accurate. He was always in great humour. We worked so well as sacristans during that time. He spoke lovingly of Betty and his children. Paddy is a saint. Thanks for knowing you Paddy and Betty.

Paddy was the essence of kindness and thoughtfulness and a great conversationalist . He had a wonderful sense of humour . He served St Columbas parish with great love .He was a gem to have in the sacristy .
