My deepest sympathies to Orla and Emma your dad was a great character I enjoyed him every Wednesday with his lovely golfing friends and I think at this point maybe Mr Patel is the only one left I was only thinking of him when Mick Finnegan passed away I can just imagine the lovely man as a dad he was to you as the fun we always had with him sitting in black bush when he couldn’t go out to golf and we would have to chat on the cup of tea . Dessie O’Rourke was a warm-hearted, funny, kind man with a quick wit and a generous nature. He loved life, and appreciated all those who were part of the tapestry which made up his own life. Dessie was a gentle man, and a gentleman. Those of us who knew him were the lucky ones. The greater the person the greater the loss, and the loss of Dessie is immense. From Marie-Therese Allen (Lorna's mum) in Melbourne, I send my heartfelt sympathies to those to whom the loss is greatest .... to Orla, Emma, Gavin, Millie, James and all his family members and extended family.  He’s with Helen again.
